coffee

because i love it.

and so does gaga.

heres what i think are on my top worst and best coffee places, in my town and maybe yours, too.

GROSS COFFEE

panera bread co. i think they have some really gross coffee. unless of course, you like your coffee to taste like acid.

Seattles Best Coffee co. i was browsing around Borders the other day and decided to try a latte from here. yuck. i could have made better at my house. and it may as well have been straight black coffee, not a sip of latte in sight.

Rendevousok i just dont like this place because of the elite attitude seemingly everyone has upon entering the place. coffee houses should be relaxing and zen, yes? i dont wanna feel judged while sipping. though i do love the comfy booths tucked in random corners:) oh and the coffee isn't the best either.

mudhouse dont get me wrong i love the mudhouse, (jet teas?! OMG! too good! chai tea? eye of the tiger, please) but hot coffee? its just not my favorite, its like watered down milk to me and way too sweet...i get frozen "coffees" from the mudhouse when im in the mood for dessert but defintely not for my morning cup.

BUT on the other hand right down the block from this mudhouse i speak of is coffee ethic which starts my list of favorites:) they have THE best lattes, they taste like coffee! weird, right? and not too sweet. they even make little designs in the froth. cute.

starbucks. duh.

olive garden random, right? it MIGHT be totally fake, im not sure, but they have delicious and adorable cup and saucer style specialty coffees. sometimes boyfriend and i go there just for coffee and dessert.

im picky, guess. and ive yet to find the perfect cup o' joe but the search continues....

to etsy or not to etsy...

that is the question thats been on my mind for the past, oh....year probably. and i have decided... to etsy. im one part excited and one part impossibly nervous. you see, i have this horrible habit of starting things and NEVER finishing them. thing is, i get really inspired and motivated and then it just dies. and im on to something new. its horrible really, i have about 30 unfinished projects in my studio right now. but i think ive found a solution. possibly. ive been thinking for days of why i do this and what causes me to be so flighty with my art, and i just get bored, i start feeling like it wont matter if i finish anything and something new gets my attention that i must start on right away, and the process continues. so im thinking that creating an etsy account and having something that relies on me to keep creating (you pay for those things, you know)will help tremendously with my little procrastination problem. i also thought about how to keep inspired and ive found an answer to that too: plan ahead. im planning to open my etsy in september until then i will make things fall related so as to not be behind on seasons. working a season ahead seems to be fun and accomplishing as opposed to racing the season to make things that people will still want while they're in season. am i making sense? anyways im going to start with fall/winter things and put them up in september. i hope i dont change my mind about this one because its something ive been wanting to do for a long time. and ibe even made a list of things to make and im really excited to get started on it. its mostly going to be cozy knitted and crocheted adorables but you will see...here are the things that inspired me this morning..

I cant explain the significance of this news. Ive not even had a full day off for a month! I have so many exciting things to catch up on!!! but first, ill need at least 16 hours of sleep.

I have a goal of making 4 new paintings. one for each day im off, even if theyre little. i need to get back into it, i miss my paint, and i have tons of ideas floating around in my head...

also i have a wedding shoot coming up that i need to prepare for and some custom letters to get done before tuesday. I love being busy with my craft:) its the best feeling ever.

Some other plans are to yard sale (!) and of course have a pretty 4th of july. think i can get it all done in 4 days?! hope so.
